Thank you to everyone for coming out on Saturday!! The show was a huge success! I couldn't have done it without all of your support! We are going to have a closing celebration at Jujomukti in the near future, I will keep you posted! In the mean time, if you want to check out the show; Jujomukti is open Tuesday - Friday from 5-10pm and Saturday - Sunday from 2-10pm.

Artist Statement

I am currently working on a new series of paintings that looks at the life cycle of plants and trees. I'm interested in how people manipulate, intervene, and attempt to control  plant growth. Trees have a natural life cycle and a man made one. Trees are planted in a new neighborhood, trees are cut down to build a house. Plants are pruned to produce the perfect buds, leaves, stems, and roots. While the plant stems and leaves look perfectly tame above ground, the roots are wild and out of control underground. I continue to explore this dynamic between control and chaos.
